As the end of 2022 approaches and the curtains draw closer on events like the COVID pandemic, the war in the Ukraine, the insurrection of our Capitol, the expose of many in leadership positions; the shift towards conscious living seems a natural and much needed turn. We’ve asked more questions and care about the answers to the following: Who are the leaders? What is their mission? In other aspects of our life, we begin to ask the questions: What is the effect of our actions on another? What do we consume daily? And what went into the process of making what we consume every day? This couldn’t be more true when it applies to health and beauty. Quick fixes and invasive beauty options aren’t enough as we search for long term and sustainable solutions to age old problems. In the face of slowing down collectively and eschewing fast-paced living of overpacked schedules, deadlines, unending to-do lists; now with a bent to reducing clutter, the role of mindfulness underscores every step taken. These steps seem to make more sense as we cultivate moments of calm and learn the transformative lesson of elevating our every day.
